Job Description
: Role Summary The Project Engineer is a member of the Capital Engineering group that provides technical services to the Company in various capacities. In addition to managing capital projects, the Project Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and investigating opportunities to improve the reliability and utilization of the Mills asset base.

The Project Engineer should be self-motivating, creative, act as a team leader, and show initiative to strive for continuous improvement in all assignments. Job Accountabilities Manages small to large capital and major maintenance projects Prepares estimates, budgets, schedules, materials, and contract specifications for projects Coordinates design and construction activities with operations, field personnel, procurement, engineering, and construction contractors and manages projects to ensure on budget and on schedule completion Provides support to field maintenance technicians and operations staff Maintains Company technical standards and design criteria Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for assigned projects Manages multiple projects and initiatives concurrently Appropriately communicates with Management on status and developments of projects assigned and/or in progress Support capital project development, define project scopes, complete project estimates, and support design and construction Review projects for technical accuracy and clarity and deliver presentations as required to support project updates, justification, and explanation Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering Two (2) five (5) years of practical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Understanding of and ability to apply basic engineering principles Demonstrated Project Management experience Ability to coordinate and manage small to large projects Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, vendors, customers, contractors, and regulatory officials Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnel Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong attention to detail Ability to anticipate and adapt to dynamic situations Must pass drug test and background check Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Desired Characteristics Three years or more years of experience in project engineering in a paper or manufacturing environment Advanced understanding of an integrated paper mill processes Why is This a Great Opportunity: Promotable position.
